Clem received her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Mississippi Valley State University, a HBCU located in the Mississippi Delta, and she received her master’s degree in vocational rehabilitation counseling from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, Illinois.

Clem serves on the Board of Director’s of the Clarence and Mary Lee Howard Foundation, a 501© 3 non-profit located in the Mississippi Delta. The Clarence and Mary Lee Howard Foundation is a family foundation that is committed to transforming the lives of underserved communities in the Mississippi Delta region through vocational training opportunities, educational enrichment programs, health and wellness seminars, job creation opportunities, and financial literacy programs. In partnership with the Southeast Rural Power Coalition, the Clarence and Mary Lee Howard Foundation aims to support the implementation of the Solar for All Program in Mississippi by assisting with the creation of new job opportunities and skills for the residents of the Mississippi Delta. Clem currently resides in San Francisco, CA. Before moving to San Francisco, Clem resided in Austin, TX. where she left an undeniable footprint as a ‘change agent/difference maker.’

Clem was awarded the Texas Governor’s Award for Volunteer Service for the entire State of TX for her outstanding volunteer work, her passion for giving back and the profound lasting impact she had on the lives of hundreds of youths throughout the State of Texas. Additionally, Former President Bill Clinton recognized Clem’s nomination for the America’s Promise initiative, which was led by the late former Secretary of State Colin Powell. Clem is the blessed wife of Tim and a proud mother of one son, Jordan.
