Alicia Scott is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in finance, public policy, non-profit management, and environmental justice. She began her career in the financial services industry in 1997 with a Beverly Hills Registered Investment Advisory firm that managed the individual liquid assets of some of the wealthiest individuals and foundations in Los Angeles, CA. She went on to hold executive management positions with National Planning Holdings, Pacific Life Insurance, and Countrywide Bank, leading the operations of advisory divisions responsible for over $3 billion in assets under management across a nationwide network of financial professionals.
In 2009, Alicia and her family moved to South Korea for work with the U.S. military, where she demonstrated her leadership skills by launching the first Family Readiness Group at US Army Garrison Camp Stanley and creating a charitable giving program between the 8th Army 1st Signal Brigade and the Korean Businessmen’s Chamber, donating winter gear and hosting soldier meet-and-greet parties for Korean orphanages annually.
After returning to the United States, Alicia moved to Savannah, Georgia, where she became the CEO of Introspect Consulting Group, a public policy and strategic planning firm providing executive counsel for elected officials and C-Suite executives. In 2016, Alicia was hired as the Regional Field Director for Georgia with the Bernie Sanders 2016 Presidential Campaign. Alicia's passion for public service led her to run for the Georgia House of Representatives in 2018 as a Democratic Candidate for District 164.
Alicia moved to Atlanta in 2019 to serve as Executive Director of Launchpad2X, a non-profit organization which specializes in training women founders to scale their companies and secure seed capital. In 2020, Alicia’s commitment to social and environmental justice was realized when she joined Partnership for Southern Equity. In her roles as the Just Energy Program Manager, she managed all aspects of the Just Energy portfolio across multidisciplinary sectors, including the equitable consumption and distribution of energy utility, clean energy advocacy, environmental justice, and climate change.
Alicia currently serves at the Georgia State Director for the Energy Foundation, a private philanthropic organization providing funding and strategic support for organizations and advocacy groups working in clean energy, climate change and environmental justice. Alicia is among the rare luminaries of TEDx Speakers, having given a talk on America’s Confederate Monuments in 2018. She also wrote and produced a documentary short film, The 4TH Arm, which showcases the oft-unrecognized work of Black women community organizers.
Alicia earned her Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Maryland and a Master of Arts in Diplomacy and International Commerce from Norwich University. She is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated and Board Member of the Harambee House Citizens for Environmental Justice.
She’s given talks on many panels for the UN, local governments, and non-profit summits and conferences. With her extensive experience in the financial services industry, public policy, and advocacy for environmental justice, Alicia Scott is a recognized leader in her field and a dedicated advocate for positive change in her community and beyond.
